Dillow called dishonest war reporter

The OC Weekly's Anthony Pignataro gets in the face of Gordon Dillow, the Register columnist who was embedded with the first Marines to cross into Iraq. Dillow didn't exactly uphold any of the great traditions of American war reportage, the Weekly says. "Always, Dillow made sure the Marines of the 1/5 looked good. No one told Dillow to play propagandist. He chose the role himself. And he does not apologize." Since returning to Orange County, Dillow has spoken to Republican groups on his exploits and bashed Al Jazeera and the "liberal, anti-military media." Earlier, Dillow summed up his time in Iraq for the Columbia Journalism Review.
