At the Writers Guild of America website, Ross Johnson's interview with L.A. author-blogger-screenwriter Roger L. Simon contains this painful admission: Simon lost $1 million of his own scratch on an indie film starring Gina Gershon that went straight to video. On Simon's own blog right now he describes how his recent slide toward the political right -- at least in regard to the Iraq war -- has cost him some friends.
