Does LA need a movie museum?

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences thinks so, and they've got the cash -- a $134 million (and growing) nest egg, thanks to the annual Oscar show -- to back up the ambition. Academy president Frank Pierson tells the LAT the desire is to make a statement ala the Disney Hall: "We're not going to think small."
