Here's another way that Bill Bratton is unlike any previous Los Angeles police chief. Last week, writes Rick Orlov in the Daily News, Bratton and his wife Rikki Klieman hosted a book party in Beverly Hills.

The Brattons hosted the event along with L.A. Confidential Magazine for Andrew Dornenburg and Karen Page, the husband-wife authors of The New American Chef: Cooking with the Best of Flavors and Techniques from Around the World.
