Sports guy out, DJ in

Michael Schneider reports in Variety that Tony Hernandez has been let go by Channel 5. His last day is April 16, if he makes it that long after ragging on management: "After six years at the station, the ending was rather unprofessional and abrupt."

On his personal blog, Schneider announces that starting this week his two-hour show of Hawaiian and island tunes, "Hawaiian Eye," will occupy the Thursday midnight slot on KCSN, the Cal State Northridge station at 88.5 FM. Way to go, bruddah.
