Blue whales hanging around

A pod of six to eight blue whales — the biggest animals on Earth — has been feeding in the Catalina Channel off Point Fermin this week, a story in the Daily Breeze says. They are apparently gorging on krill and delighting boaters and whale-watch captains. The new Breeze website design, by the way, is a big improvement.
