LAT's Gold jumps to Washington Post
Annual issue is out this weekThe L.A. chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists has figured out a sure way to get their monthly cocktail mixers mentioned here: invite me to come as the special guest. I'll be schmoozing with whoever shows up, and I guess muttering a few words, this evening at Villa Sorriso in Pasadena. It's an open invitation (details here). Also around town this evening:

• Hunter Drohojowska-Philp: She talks about her new Georgia O'Keefe book at the Hammer Museum. 7 p.m. Questions and answers with Victoria Steele of the UCLA Young Research Library follow.
Also, this weekend the Modern Committee of the L.A. Conservancy is putting on its 20th anniversary tour of modern Los Angeles landmarks. Tickets include a visit with architecture photographer Julius Shulman in his Hollywood Hills home. Details.
