The L.A. chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists has figured out a sure way to get their monthly cocktail mixers mentioned here: invite me to come as the special guest. Also, this weekend the Modern Committee of the L.A. Conservancy is putting on its 20th anniversary tour of modern Los Angeles landmarks. Tickets include a visit with architecture photographer Julius Shulman in his Hollywood Hills home. Details.
