• Tracks magazine has gone on hiatus after a little more than a year, while management pursues "new financing support with the goal of relaunching the magazine in the future."
• The Times proclaims Xeni Jardin "the wizard of blogs."
• Mark Sarvas of the The Elegant Variation gets a nice treatment in the Times, with picture, for his role in the new Litblog Coop. The positive ink won't affect his weekly bashing of the Times Book Review, he says.
• Jonathan Gold's LA Weekly food writing is nominated for a James Beard award. Helene Siegel is in the running too (with Fran Bigelow) for their book Pure Chocolate.
• The NYT's Sunday Styles visits the million-dollar mobile homes of Malibu.
