Freshening up the place

New logo, new column array, same content (and bigger links.) I thought the blog needed a little dusting off. The way things are arranged now will let me try some new stuff, I hope. I'll be tweaking the design and getting the archives into shape during the weekend, if not longer (yeah, longer.) If something's not working for you, please let me know.

One tip if this page looks screwy: Many browsers load a frequently visited page out of your computer's cache, rather than getting it brand new every visit. That saves time, but when the stylesheet and page template change like this, some browsers need to be told to go get the fresh design. This comes up for a few readers every time I modify the design, and hitting the Refresh or Reload buttons usually takes care of it. If not, try clearing your cache (on a Windows machine, push Control-F5.) In some browsers, you may have to go the options and temporarily set them to check for a new page. Firefox and newer versions of IE (still used by 80% of LAO visitors) usually take care of this automatically, but if you are having trouble please let me know.

For those who have been unable to get RSS feeds the last few days, they should be working again in all formats.
