End of the ball

creditThis Halloween you won't see many (if any) of the Union 76 balls decorated as jack-o'-lanterns. Franklin Avenue has been keeping tabs on the balls' disappearance from the L.A. landscape as ConocoPhillips redesigns the old 76 stations it recently took over. Miniatures have flown on countless car radio antennas through the years, and the iconic "meatball" even made an appearance in The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
