Decommissioned

A correspondent who reads the City Council files closer than I do sends paper from last week showing that Mayor Villaraigosa has withdrawn last month's appointment of architect Mark Rios to the Community Redevelopment Agency board, at Rios' request. He had been nominated for one of the seats that didn't belong to labor. Also: the Rev. Cecil L. "Chip" Murray has finally been appointed to something, the board of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority.

Also: The Political Action Committee of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce endorsed Jose Huizar in the 14th council district race.
