Jennifer York, KTLA's airborne reporter for thirteen years until 2004, has an honored place in the lore passed down to the new recruits around the spacious LAObserved suites. She ranked #2 on the list of Google search terms that delivered eyeballs here that year, after only "L.A. Observed" itself. No cheap traffic either, like the blog-mobs that descended on photos of TV talent Sharon Tay, Jackie Johnson and Gretchen Carr. York was only featured in one entry all year, a brief three-liner about her departure from Channel 5, and it ran without photo. She has a real following—she's #7 on the search-term list this year too, without the boost of any new items about her. Until now. She has returned to the air, this time on radio. York resurfaced this week as a host on the "The Family Friendly Morning Show" on The Fish, a Christian station at FM 95.9. York is also a professional electric and acoustic bassist who has recorded two albums with the all women Christian rock group "Rachel Rachel" and two albums with her current group, "The York Quartet."
