Fox likes the LAT now

The biggest physical change at the Los Angeles Times since the Tribune Company took over has been the clearing out of the former Times Mirror headquarters suites. The sixth floor of the building at 1st and Broadway used to be where the Times Mirror directors approved mergers and held receptions, the chairmen and CEO had their offices and for a time the Times' publisher and editor spent most of their days. For years now the glass offices and sun-lit lobby have sat eerily vacant, silent except for a gurgling fountain and occasional going-away parties for departing employees. This week the ghost floor is finally getting some use: I'm told the new Fox police drama "Bones" is shooting an episode in the empty space.
