Duggan adPeople care about this stuff and write in. Today several readers noticed that the Times got two names wrong in the Eddie Nalbandian obituary in this morning's paper. The early Los Angeles TV talk show hosts were Joe Pyne (not Pine) and Tom Duggan (not Dugan.) Roger M. Grace of the Metropolitan News-Enterprise wrote a piece in 2002 telling stories on Duggan, who was apparently quite the drinker. Baxter Ward and Regis Philbin come up in his reminiscence.

Also, I should point out that the Channel Island item about KTLA's anchors getting a free night in the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Huntington is attributed by the blog to the Pasadena Star-News. Gene Maddaus had it in his political notes column on Saturday.

* More email: (1:20 pm) Rob Long, the subject of Patrick Goldstein's LAT column today, is guest-blogging for Cathy Seipp today...LA.com notes that Spin magazine has declared Silver Lake "the most buzz-worthy rock scene in the country."
