Link you won't see on Romenesko

RomeneskoWell maybe you will, but it's an interview with the indefatigable, if media shy, Romenesko himself in Hyperlink magazine at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism. He's 52 and lives in Evanston, Illinois, where he posts every weekday on the Poynter Institute website from a half-dozen favorite coffeehouses. He gets up before 5:30 am to find around 175 email tips then starts working through his bookmarks. Interesting: he holds back some of his best items in the morning to trip up competitors who rip-off early posts. (Hmm, that's an idea...) He's been at it seven years and racks up about 80,000 visits a day. You can listen to the audio but there's no written version online. (Via Editor & Publisher)
