Ronnie Lippin, music publicist was 59

Lippin had co-managed Brian Wilson and had been a PR rep for, among others, Prince, Eric Clapton and Stephen Stills. The Lippin Group, where she was president, said that she died today at Cedars after battling a rare form of breast cancer. Her husband, Dick Lippin, is chairman and CEO of the firm.

* Update: HITS calls Lippin "one of the all-time great music industry publicists and execs...a true gentlewoman with a love for both the music and the industry, Ronnie, often cited as one of the role models for Spinal Tap’s Bobbi Fleckman, will be missed."
