Look for an L.A. Pulitzer

All three finalists in the cricitism category of the Pulitzer prizes are from Los Angeles, Joe Strupp reports at Editor & Publisher. The trio includes two Times critics who nominated themselves — Christopher Knight and Mark Swed — and LA Weekly food writer Jonathan Gold, Strupp writes based on sources. The Times' official entry reportedly nominated Tim Rutten, Ann Powers and Christopher Hawthorne, but if E&P's source is correct they were all rejected in favor of the unsponsored entries.
