Weston and the Tropico years

Flora Chandler WestonNoted photographer Edward Weston preferred smallpox and poverty to Los Angeles, as he says in a new post at Native Intelligence. But he made some of his most admired images here, living in the vanished riverbank town of Tropico. An exhibit coming to the Getty will highlight some of those pictures.
