Reprising the Lana Clarkson role will be...

The last time that Kitty Felde's one-act play "Man With No Shadow" was staged in Los Angeles, the lead actress was Lana Clarkson. Now that the play is opening October 11 in the Drama Lab Theatre at Orange Coast College, where it will run for three weekends (tix), let's check in with Felde. She writes:

She was wonderful in the role of Darla, the actress who won't admit she's a bit too old for Hollywood ingenues. After that 1999 production, Lana wrote me a note, saying the role was "one of my favorite characters I've played and as the list is numerous, that's something!" In this production, the role has been slightly rewritten to reflect the age of the actress playing Darla this time around. But I'd like to think Lana will be with us in spirit as the lights come up.

Safe to assume Phil Spector won't be in attendance.
