Salinas ankles Telemundo

Given the option of Riverside or the greener pastures of a fresh start, mayoral paramour Mirthala Salinas opted for...not Riverside. A couple of Los Angeles TV crews were on hand to record her first day of work in exile from the KVEA-52 anchor desk in Burbank. But she didn't appear, and later Channel 52 spokesman Victor Franco said, "Telemundo and Mirthala Salinas have mutually agreed to end our employment relationship effective October 1." No word on the size of the settlement (I mean mutual agreement.) Salinas had worked at Telemundo for ten years until her affair with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and her reporting on him, became a big issue. AP, LAT, NBC4
