This shot was gathered from satellites on Monday afternoon. If you've got the bandwidth, NASA has a 1.2 MB high-res version for you. There's also video taken from Space Shuttle Discovery.

There in Malibu: Veronique de Turenne appeared with Warren Olney on KCRW's Which Way, L.A.? to talk about her posts on the Malibu fire for Here in Malibu.

Also: Dave Gardetta, author of that Los Angeles Magazine reconstruction of the Griffith Park fire, and Mike Davis, who famously suggested Malibu should be allowed to burn in "The Ecology of Fear," will talk about the fires on KPCC's "Off-Ramp" on Saturday at noon.
