Reporter moves on *

Evan George has left the Downtown News for the Los Angeles Daily Journal, where he will take over the health care beat and cover insurance lawsuits, health care reform and the like. George had been associate editor at the L.A. Alternative when that paper was still around.

* Noted: George is also a blogging chef. His cooking credo: "We don’t cook with meat. And we like sharpening our knives about as much as we like: bicycling, performing harsh noise music, gardening, slugging whiskey, and muckraking. We believe in cheap groceries, cooking with high alcohol content beer and free leisure. We hate weak sauces."
