When cameras empower

Over at Native Intelligence, Judy Graeme's third offering on Los Angeles photographers introduces a group of teenagers (and younger) who use borrowed cameras to shoot images of their gritty home turf downtown. Sometimes, the results are impressive. The photograph above is by 15-year-old Geovanni Montes, who attends a weekly class at the St. Francis Center just below the I-10 freeway.
