Papadakis Taverna could be closing

creditSan Pedro's best-known Greek restaurant has been targeted by Marie Callender's, and the Community Redevelopment Agency and the local councilwoman sound excited. "If it works out, this would be a great addition to downtown San Pedro," said Janice Hahn. "Marie Callender's really attracts families and it's open morning, noon and evening, so that's something I think would give a boost to the downtown." Owner John Papadakis says he has no deal to sell or close down, but the local buzz is that he wants out. Papadakis Taverna opened in 1973. Daily Breeze
