TV Week loses another

Television reporter James Hibberd is leaving TV Week to take a newly created slot on the broadcasting beat at The Hollywood Reporter, I'm told. The path is getting familiar. Melissa Grego left as managing editor at TV Week last year to join the Reporter, and longtime TV Week art director Jennifer Ciminillo jumped to be head of marketing at THR. One observer plugged in at both newsrooms calls the Hibberd hiring a big plus for the Reporter and another sign of diminishing presence at TV Week. From the Journalism Jobs posting for Hibberd's replacement:

Job Responsibilities: Cover broadcast networks and TV ratings Create breaking news, enterprise, trend and analysis pieces that make sense of the business of television Create daily stories for the website Write weekly features for print publication and real-time blogs that will keep TVWeek at the forefront

Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will be have a compulsive interest in the networks and how they do their business Must possess deep knowledge of the executives, programmers and showrunners who compete in the market.
