Joe Francis gets 2 dozen reporters to hear his tale

Journalists turned out at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for a press conference where the Girls Gone Wild founder again ranted about being in jail for most of a year. "We wouldn't have been there in the first place if girls weren't getting naked in the first place," he said, quoted in the LAT. When asked if his time in jail provided opportunity for introspection, Francis answered: "There's a certain hyper-focus that comes with being locked in a cage. There were things I did wrong, things I'm going to do better."

Stuck with Tribune: LATimes.com has to run a story from sister paper Newsday that adds nothing to what the New York Times and other sources are breaking on Eliot Spitzer and his consort.
