Sold out in Santa Barbara

PosterThe documentary Citizen McCaw opened Friday night to a sell-out crowd of 2,200, reportedly including Wendy McCaw's sister, said to have remarked that she loved the film. Afterward, the crowd gave a standing ovation to the former News-Press journalists who went up on stage to be acknowledged. Blogger Craig Smith, who has followed the McCaw saga all along, posts his take and a link to TV coverage up there. A rumor had McCaw driving by the theater. Smith also reports that the National Labor Relations Board filed suit Thursday to force McCaw to immediately reinstate eight reporters ruled to have been fired illegally.
