Angeleno wins James Beard Award

Brad A. Johnson, national food and travel editor for Angeleno, won the James Beard Foundation Award in restaurant reviews for his pieces on Hampton's, Sona and The Penthouse. Junot Diaz won the M.F.K. Fisher Distinguished Writing prize for a piece in Gourmet called "He'll Take El Alto." Gourmet's "Diary of a Foodie" won for best TV food show. Russ Parsons, food writer at the L.A. Times, was included in the awards' Who's Who of Food and Beverage in America. Winners and finalists
