Paul Starr, make-up artist found dead at home

Starr, the makeup artist for Angelina Jolie and other celebrities, was found deceased inside his Silver Lake Elysian Heights apartment. He was described variously as 48 or 51. Police forced their way in after friends reported they had not heard from him for days. Women's Wear Daily has the first report on Google News, from yesterday, but it is now widely reported. The L.A. Times story says he was a founding beauty editor of Flaunt magazine from 1998 to 2001, and in 2005 he released a book, "Paul Starr on Beauty: Conversations With Thirty Celebrated Women."
