Angels lose 2 to Red Sox

Lots of dour faces down in Anaheim tonight. Ex-Dodger J.D. Drew delivered the killer blow, a 2-run homer to center field off Frankie Rodriguez in the ninth inning, moments after the Angels tied the game. The final was 7-5 Sox, and now the series goes to Boston with the Angels in a hole. Box

But in Los Angeles!: The Sparks' Candace Parker was named MVP of the WNBA, to go with her rookie of the year honors. Parker also has an Olympic gold meal this year.
