James Brady, editor and Parade interviewer was 80

Brady did the celebrity profiles for Parade magazine for nearly 25 years — his last, of actor Kevin Bacon, runs February 15. Before that he was a Washington reporter for Fairchild Publications, European director and publisher of Women's Wear Daily, editorial director of W, editor and publisher of Harper's Bazaar, writer of New York Magazine's Intelligencer column and creator of the New York Post's Page Six. He also wrote books in several genres and did interviews on TV, and was still writing a media column for Forbes when he died at home in Manhattan.

Hollywood obituary: Kim Manners, who directed 50 episodes of "X-Files" and was currently co-executive producer on "Supernatural," died of lung cancer at 58. Variety
