Nieman for Kevin Sites

The former CNN correspondent who reinvented himself as a Los Angeles-based multimedia journalist for Yahoo was named one of 24 new Nieman Fellows at Harvard. He's the only one from L.A., far as I can tell. List

Also: Former city Controller Laura Chick won a ProPublica Prize for Investigative Governance, for her audit of the LAPD's rape kit backlog. The California Fair Political Practices Commission also was honored for its report on so-called independent campaign expenditures.
