On topic: Gavin Newsom's longtime political adviser Eric Jaye, lately assigned the mantle of "New Media strategist" when he gets ink, talks about why politicians are exploiting Twitter: "Campaigns are about finding ways to communicate at low cost...If hundreds of thousands of people were following skywriting, we'd be skywriting." In case anyone still thought it was because Twitter is cool or something.
