Tweet o' the day

Today's post is from an Angeleno whose Twitter profile describes him as a "digital marketing nerd and writer with a fondness for Hollywood, webseries, widgets and wine," retweeted by @LAWeekly:

toddhavens Saw an LAPD motorcycle cop with no mustache. Didn't think it possible. Like spotting a dodo.

On topic: Gavin Newsom's longtime political adviser Eric Jaye, lately assigned the mantle of "New Media strategist" when he gets ink, talks about why politicians are exploiting Twitter: "Campaigns are about finding ways to communicate at low cost...If hundreds of thousands of people were following skywriting, we'd be skywriting." In case anyone still thought it was because Twitter is cool or something.
