Washington Post media reporter Howard Kurtz is in Los Angeles this week to do Bill Maher etc. If you see a drowsy guy on the corner outside Television City, might be him:

HowardKurtz Tricky staying on East Coast time in LA. Sit Room at 1? O'Reilly at 5? Then I start wondering why I haven't eaten dinner yet.

And a Twitter note: The Los Angeles Fire Department will send you a monthly reminder, via Twitter, to test your smoke alarms.
