Television journalist Lisa Ling just Twittered a request for support of an online petition calling on North Korea to release Los Angeles journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee. They have been held since March 17 and the North Korean government says they will go on trial for "hostile acts" tomorrow. The reporters were doing a story on the China-North Korea border for Current TV. The Lings are sisters.

Here's a Facebook page regarding tonight's vigil in Santa Monica where Lisa Ling and Judy Chu, the congressional candidate, are billed as speakers.
