North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency said in a brief dispatch today that the trial of Los Angeles journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee would begin at 3 p.m. in Pyongyang's Central Court. Hours later, there was no word on the status of the proceedings, says AP. Several hundred supporters attended a vigil last night in Santa Monica where Ling's sister, Lisa Ling, said that "My sister is strong, but there is nothing hostile about her." She added: "Euna is the mother of the most angelic 4-year-old daughter, hardly a threatening character."
