Downtown

Hotel Rosslyn neon, all lit up

rosslynhotelfuentes.jpg
I can't remember the last time I saw the Hotel Rosslyn roof signs on display over Downtown, but I was pleased to see the northern one of the pair fired up for Thursday night's Art Walk — and more pleased when artist and blogdowntown Arts and Culture Editor Ed Fuentes captured the image.

downtownwedding2.jpgHere are the Rosslyn signs, unlit, in one of this blog's favorite Downtown photos. It was posted in 2005 by Celia Esguerra, but I don't know who took the photo. (Longtime LAO readers will need no reminding that Celia's sister, Laura Esguerra, passed away less than four months after the wedding.)
