Pulitzer winner coming to L.A.

Alexandra Berzon, the Las Vegas Sun reporter whose four-part series on the high death rate among construction workers on the Las Vegas Strip won the Public Service medal in this year's Pulitzer Prizes, is joining the Los Angeles bureau of the Wall Street Journal. Her exit was announced in Las Vegas. The Pulitzer judges made a point of Berson's "courageous reporting" on the series. Her mother, Marsha S. Berzon, is a justice on the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Out bound transition: God Blog blogger Brad Greenberg is leaving full-time journalism at the Jewish Journal for UCLA Law School. He was honored as a journalist of the year last month by the Los Angeles Press Club, and says in a post that "I’ve also learned a lot more about what it means to be a Christian named Greenberg." He will continue to write The God Blog.
