Eerie media silence regarding the return trip to wherever Michael Jackson goes now, and the continuing buildup of costs for public services. Will freeway closures occur again this afternoon?

1:28 update: TMZ reporting that if hearse goes to Forest Lawn it will be a decoy. Body going to an undisclosed location. Meanwhile, one procession has entered southbound 110 freeway and switched to westbound I-10. Traffic blocked for them. TV choppers following only the westbound motorcade, reportedly headed for Beverly Wilshire gathering for Jackson family.

1:39 update: Chief Bratton tells Channel 2 no arrests today downtown, great execution: "Crowds were incredibly small." Says he doesn't know where motorcade is going and wouldn't divulge if he did. 3,200 officers on station near Staples Center as its peak.

1:45 update: Procession headed north on Robertson, left on to Olympic headed for Beverly Wilshire hotel. Motorcade is using the entrance on El Camino Drive, formerly known as Speedway dating from when the Los Angeles Raceway occupied that block.
