Hefner sells Playboy Mansion adjacent

After he had kids with Kimberley Conrad, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner bought the new family the 2.3-acre estate next door to the Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills. The Hefners have been estranged for years, and now the house next door has been sold for $18 million (after asking $27.9 million), says Lauren Beale at the LAT's Hot Property column. I've said it before, and will probably say it again: you never know what people want on the Internet.

Good sign: Beale was allowed to refer to the neighborhood as Holmby Hills, instead of "Westwood" as indicated on the LAT's official map.
