Mayor Villaraigosa begins a four-day working trip to Mexico later this morning, meeting for breakfast with business leaders in Guadalajara and tonight giving remarks at the University of Guadalajara's Museo de las Artes for the opening of two art exhibits from Los Angeles: "Julius Shulman’s Los Angeles" and "Vexing: Female Voices of East L.A. Punk." On Saturday he takes part in events for the opening of the Guadalajara International Book Fair. Villaraigosa has no public events listed on Sunday. Monday he's in Mexico City.

1:00 PM – Guadalajara, Mexico – Mayor Villaraigosa will participate in a media availability to welcome the Los Angeles artist delegation to Guadalajara.
6:00 PM – Guadalajara, Mexico -- Mayor Villaraigosa will deliver the Keynote Address at the Catedra Julio Cortazar. The Catedra Julio Cortazar is an academic forum based in the University of Guadalajara.
8:00 PM – Guadalajara, Mexico – Mayor Villaraigosa will provide remarks at the exclusive opening of two LA visual arts exhibitions: Julius Shulman’s Los Angeles and Vexing: Female Voices of East L.A. Punk. University of Guadalajara, Museo de las Artes.

1:00 PM – Guadalajara, Mexico – Mayor Villaraigosa will participate in the grand opening tour of the Guadalajara International Book Fair.
1:30 PM – Guadalajara, Mexico – Mayor Villaraigosa will provide remarks at the Inauguration of Los Angeles’ Guest of Honor Pavilion.
2:00 PM – Guadalajara, Mexico – Mayor Villaraigosa will provide remarks at the Guadalajara International Book Fair Inaugural Lunch.
7:30 PM – Guadalajara, Mexico – Mayor Villaraigosa will meet with the Governor of Jalisco, Emilio Gonzalez Marquez.
Following the private meeting, the Mayor and Governor will address the media and participate in their official gift exchange.
8:15 PM – Guadalajara, Mexico – Mayor Villaraigosa will provide remarks at a dinner honoring the Los Angeles artist delegation, hosted by the state of Jalisco.

9:00 AM – Mexico City, Mexico – Mayor Villaraigosa will deliver a Keynote Speech to 200 prominent Mexican leaders at the Club de Industriales.
The Club de Industrales A.C. is a private institution that was created in 1956, exclusively for entrepreneurs and business members, to promote aspects related to culture, science, arts, and public life in Mexico.
2:00 PM – Mexico City, Mexico – Mayor Villaraigosa will deliver remarks at a luncheon hosted by the Mayor of Mexico City, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon.
