Villaraigosa

Antonio in good place personally, Lu fitting in

antonio-lu-moca.jpgMayor Antonio Villaraigosa is "noticeably more at ease" since not running for governor and with his relationship with Lu Parker settling in, writes City Hall reporter Phil Willon in the L.A. Times. Included are interviews with Villaraigosa, his sister and friends in which we learn a few things about the mayor's current lifestyle. "I'm at a great place with my family and kids, my sisters, and you could put Lu in there as well," Villaraigosa said.

  • Villaraigosa credits a more focused workout regimen, yoga and eating better for losing 20 pounds. He observes meatless Mondays (Parker is a vegetarian) and is sleeping better — up to 5 or 6 hours a night, from 3 to 4.
  • He says he wants to look at colleges and generally spend more time with Natalia Fe, a high school junior. "I am closer today with my children than I was before the separation. We are very close."
  • Sister Deborah Villar and other sources said Parker attended a family holiday gathering at Getty House and that the met her parents in South Carolina around Christmas. "We're not in any way hiding our relationship. We're public about it, but it's also private," Villaraigosa said.

The divorce process with Corina is described as "continuing."
