ESPN/LA hires have domino effect in local market

When ESPN staffed up its local operation in Los Angeles, it hired several staffers from the Daily News and Los Angeles Times. The result has been some promotions and hiring at those papers. At the Daily News, assistant online editor Steven Rosenberg has become Internet Editor, assistant sports editor Vincent Bonsignore moved over to lead columnist, and copy desk chief Brian Martin was named deputy sports editor, according to a round-up at the AP Sports Editors website.

LAT's Dodger blog: A sports journalism source says the betting is on ex-DN columnist Steve Dilbeck to take Jon Weisman's spot as the Times' Dodgers blogger.
