Mitchell's guest on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. is Jeff Bridges, currently enjoying the ride with "Crazy Heart" and probably looking forward to Oscar weekend.

Now online: Today's "Politics of Culture" interview with newly selected KCRW general manager Jennifer Ferro. Looks as if I'll be hosting next week's show; more later on the topic.
