Philippe's closed by roaches, could reopen today *

philippe.jpgPhilippe the Original was shut down Wednesday after the Los Angeles County Health Department responded to complaints and found a live cockroach infestation. The restaurant is hoping to reopen by noon after re-inspection. LAT, KNBC, KCBS

* Reopened: Cleared this morning by the health department. Co-owner Janette Rhodenbaugh emails: "The [health] department gave us A grade, a grade that we have held since the grading system began. We are officially opened for business again."
