The U.S. Attorney's office has moved to dismiss federal charges against the Santa Monica sushi restaurant that admitted serving illegal whale meat. The government isn't saying there's a deal, but something is up. Of course, the owners did basically cop to the charges, apologize, close down and pledge to donate a substantial amount of money to whale protection..
