Last month when the Grim Sleeper arrest broke, the LA Weekly's Christine Pelisek wrote about her background in the case for the Daily Beast. She was tapped by Louise Roug, one of the editors there, who incidentally was recently trolling around L.A. looking to hire a local reporter for the site. Looks like she got her woman. LA Weekly editor Drex Heikes announced in the newsroom today that Pelisek was leaving for the Daily Beast.
