Gliding over the Santa Monicas in high-def

An aerial video team has been soaring over the Santa Monica Mountains on a hang glider, shooting footage that will make it into a main attraction at a new visitors’ center to be built for the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. A short YouTube clip (above) has some great scenery of the mountains and the upper Malibu coast. Set the player to 720p for the best quality. Here's the backstory and a blog item from Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, whose office helps fund the project.
