Media and Hollywood group ankles Yamashiro

yamashiro-front.jpgAfter 11 years, the monthly gathering of media and Hollywood types started by TV writer Scott Kaufer, blogger Mickey Kaus and journalist-author Steve Oney is leaving Yamashiro. Indifferent (or worse) service by the Hollywood eatery-with-a-view finally pushed the hosts to go elsewhere for the invitation-only schmoozefests held usually on the first Friday of the month. In fact, they're formally adopting the First Friday name for the salons previously known simply as Yama. After stops at temporary venues the next two months, regulars will be advised of the new home before January's gathering, Kaufer says.
