DePodesta, the Dodgers' ex-GM, goes to Mets

Paul DePodesta, the Harvard economics graduate who figured in the Michael Lewis book "Moneyball" then spent a difficult couple of years as general manager of the Dodgers, has been hired as the New York Mets' vice president for player personnel and amateur scouting. DePodesta, 37, most recently had been with the Padres in San Diego. He last blogged back in August.
